Watch The Original Voices Of Disney’s ‘Aladdin’ Sing ‘A Whole New World
“He was the Genie, he was bigger than life”, said John Musker, “Aladdin” co-writer/director, noting that they wrote the part of the Genie with Robin in mind. On October. 13, the Aladdin: Diamond Edition will see the film come out of the Disney Vault and be made available for a limited time.

“Good Morning America” reunited the cast and crew to reflect on their experiences making the movie, and also released a glimpse of what we can expect from those genie outtakes.
Meanwhile, Lea Salonga and Brad Kane also got to chatting about their own important roles in the film, which was voicing one of the most famous songs of all time, “A Whole New World”.
“It was unbelievable working with Robin, absolutely incredible”, said composer Alan Menken.
Soon fans of the Oscar-winning Disney animated movie will have a chance to see a few of the jokes, impressions, and ad-libs that Williams performed in the recording booth but ultimately hit the cutting room floor. “We knew this was going to be the magic carpet ride song…and so we just wanted that very romantic feeling of a flight over the city”.
“There was no one else that could be the Genie and fortunately he agreed to do it”, Clements said on the show. “We recorded him in four-hour sessions and he would be going for four hours straight”, he gushed. We would have practically four hours of recording and by the end he was just drenched.

“Aladdin” was released last week on digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere, and the “Aladdin Diamond Editon” Blu-ray will be released Tuesday. “He had so much energy and so much passion”.
