“For white people, it was just another great week”, a voice can be heard at the beginning of the short film.

The superstar and her back-up dancers paid homage to the Black Panthers in order to bring attention to the Black Lives Matter movement during the halftime show on Sunday. Since the song was released, and especially since Beyonce performed the song at the Super Bowl last Sunday, there has been quite the backlash, with threats of protests, boycotts, and all that jazz.

“Honey, get in here”, cast member Aidy Bryant screams. “I think that we live in a country where you have the freedom to say how you feel and talk”, the Destiny’s Child singer said. Then, a number of news clips flash across the screen, claiming, “Beyonce embraces her black heritage”.

“Guys, I don’t understand this new song”, one woman says at the office as she takes her earbuds out. “Maybe the song isn’t for us?” a horrified Bobby Moynihan asks.

The trailer’s voiceover announcer adds, “It was the day they lost their damn white minds”.

A woman also wrote on Beyonce’s Facebook page: “As the wife of a police officer, I am offended by this entire video”.

“What? No you’re not”. The video then gives us a look at the rest of the white world, who are in shock over this “realization”. It’s that they didn’t even know she was black.

As Beyonce’s video continues to spread among the masses, so does the collective panic, with confused white people trying desperately to figure out what it all means.
