Watchmaker Swatch plans to launch multiple smartwatches in future
After unveiling what is dubbed by Business Insider’s Matthew DeBord as “the coolest $150 watch in the world” which is the Sistem51 o, Swatch intends to beef up its smartwatch line according to the company’s CEO, Nicolas Hayekin in an published interview with Tages-Anzeige newspaper on Saturday.

The Switzerland-based company which is headquartered in Biel is giving competition to the already leading watch manufacturers like Apple and more in the smartwatch market.
“Our product is called Touch Zero One and that gives enough room for Zero Five, Zero Nine,” Hayek told Switzerland’s Tages-Anzeiger newspaper.
The Swiss company’s strategy appears primarily to revolve around including individual tech features in different models rather than going head to head with Apple to create all-in-one smartwatches combining many functions.
Although Swatch has no real plans to make smart watches, they are keen to bring some interesting features to their collection of wrist watches, some found on smartwatches from the likes of Apple, Samsung, and Sony. “The Touch Zero One is not the end of the progression”.
Swatch Touch Zero One comes with some features like you can track the distance traveled as well as you can also measure your power of hits while playing Volleyball. Late Apple CEO Steve Jobs often used “One More Thing” on stage to introduce new products.

A year ago Swatch tried to block Apple from registering the trademark to the term “iWatch” because it said it was too similar to its own brand name.
