“A reportedly unarmed 19-year old Palestine refugee from Fawwar camp was killed after being shot in the chest by live ammunition rounds reportedly fired by an Israeli sniper stationed approximately 100 meters away”, UNRWA said.

In a statement, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said four Palestinians were arrested from areas near the northern West Bank cities of Tulkarem and Qalqiliya, while four others were detained from Ramallah and Hebron.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry, meanwhile, issued a statement accusing Israel of trying to “Judaize” Hebron.

Israel has signalled that it is ready to re-engage in the peace talks, with a spokesman for Netanyahu saying the Israeli prime minister would be ready “anywhere, any time, for direct peace talks with no preconditions”, according to the Times.

Despite efforts by both Washington and France to jump start the process, talks between Netanyahu and Abbas have been suspended since 2014.

The regulation, which was pushed by Israel’s ultra-nationalist Justice Secretary Ayelet Shaked, has been welcomed by Israeli farmers in the valley who, in an investigative report two years ago, were shown to be denying Palestinian workers such things as pay slips, minimum wage, annual leave, sick leave and written employment contracts.

Netanyahu’s government is dominated by West Bank settlers and their supporters, and Netanyahu is unlikely to agree to halt construction.

The poll also revealed that when presented with a peace agreement package based on that from previous rounds of negotiations, only 39% of Palestinians and 46% of Israelis (39% of Israeli Jews and 90% of Israeli Arabs) said they support such a package.

According to the Israeli military, forces arrested two Palestinian suspected of trafficking weapons.

Israeli soldiers also arrested Salim Yousef al-Rajoub in the town of Dura, located 11 kilometers (608 miles) southwest of al-Khalil (Hebron) in the raid on his house.
