Watford add to Mourinho woe as Palace soar
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says that the red devils defeat away at Watford in the Premier League was down to individual and collective mistakes on behalf of his side.

Although 18-year-old Marcus Rashford marked his first start of the season for Mourinho by canceling out Etienne Capoue’s opener, Watford surged back in front in the 83rd minute at Vicarage Road.
United’s 3-1 loss at Watford on Sunday – ending a 30-year unbeaten run against the club based north of London – followed a losing start to the Europa League on Thursday at Feyenoord in the Netherlands.
It is the first time Mourinho has lost three straight games within the same season since he was at Porto in 2002 and it left United six points behind early pace-setters Manchester City.

“I can split this into three factors – one is the referee’s crucial mistakes, it’s not in my control”, said Mourinho. We were unlucky not to score.
Watford passed up a gilt-edged chance to open the scoring as miscommunication between David de Gea and Chris Smalling saw the ball fall to the feet of Odion Ighalo but, with the goal gaping, he slid his effort wide.
The closest United came to the Watford goal before conceding was Zlatan Ibrahimovic hitting the sidenetting and Paul Pogba, the world’s most expensive player, hitting the crossbar with a dipping shot.
“I know him from Italy”, explained Zuniga.
“I never commented on the referees then and I don’t intend to do so today”.
It was the 30 year-old’s first Watford goal since he joined on loan from Napoli in the summer and his first goal for anyone since 2012. He was colossal and, in a telling nod of recognition, took home the Players’ Player of the Year trophy on the club’s annual awards night, beating off stiff competition from serial victor David De Gea and 17-goal top scorer Anthony Martial.
Despite being just five games into the new Premier League season, midfielder Fellaini believes it is acceptable to be critical of United’s situation due to the size of the club.

Nordin Amrabat cut past United defender Luke Shaw and released Roberto Pereyra, who fed Zuniga with a cutback, allowing Capoue’s replacement to restore Watford’s lead.
