Watford deserve credit for comeback victory, says Mazzarri

West Ham have launched an investigation into claims that a board member was spat at by their own fans during trouble at the Watford match.

Walter Mazzarri secured his first win as a Premier League manager after his side came from two goals down to secure an emphatic victory over their lacklustre London rivals.

Fans have clashed at Saturday’s (September 10) Watford versus West Ham United game in London. In first half we had so much space behind them that we used with pace of Mikey and other players we had space.

The 27-year-old Nigerian is yet to score in the Premier League this season and has managed just four goals in his last 21 games for the club. “It will give us a lot of confidence”.

During yesterday’s match, West Ham were initially in the lead after two headers from Michail Antonio. “It was way too early for us to switch off, it wasn’t like it was the 85th minute”. “I am very angry”. Daryl Janmaat hit the foot of his own post in a insane attempt to clear his lines.

“There is a long way to go and we have to stay positive”.

West Ham really had the bit between their teeth. Watford appealed for offside, with some justification, but it was marginal and a goal created by supreme artistry was allowed to stand.

“But I would be the first to say, ok, if everybody cuts, let’s cut”.

And the visitors’ comeback was complete on the stroke of half-time as, after capitalising on a mix-up between Adrian and Collins, Deeney levelled with a precise finish into the top corner.

West Ham United “unreservedly condemn the behaviour” of supporters involved in Saturday’s violence at the London Stadium, vowing to ban those caught for life.

Eight minutes into the restart, Watford were ahead as Capoue was left free at the far post to rifle the ball home.
