Watford manager hails Ighalo after Liverpool brace
Quique Sánchez Flores believes Watford are ready to fend off any January offers for his striker Odion Ighalo.

“That’s what Watford did with the second goal”.
“They have good players and a good plan”, Klopp said in a pre-match conference.
He said: “We lost our mind after the first goal, we lost our compact formation, we didn’t play easy, as we should have done”.
Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool are still a work in progress following Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to newly-promoted Watford. But in my opinion, you have not to save the ball, you have to have both hands on the ball and he had both hands on the ball, so it’s a foul. But that’s one part of what we can do. There was quite a bit of controversy about the goal, as Ake seemed to have kicked the ball out of the keeper’s hand, which might explain the Bogdan howler.
Speaking to Sky Sports alongside strike partner and two-goal hero Odion Ighalo, Deeney said the win was a huge achievement for the club.
But Bogdan quickly disabused them of that idea with a horrendous third minute mistake that gifted Watford the lead. It was a mistake and I will learn from it. I felt good, it wasn’t nerves. Actually, we now know that Watford, a side of which little was expected, IS better than we thought.
The duo have created more goalscoring chances for each other than any other combination in the Premier League this season, and Ighalo acknowledged that they are working well together.
A victory for Liverpool would have left them just two points shy of the Champions League qualification places, but instead it was Watford who climbed to 7th, just a point behind Tottenham in fourth.
“The teams they inherited weren’t able to cope physically with the Premier League – and this Liverpool team isn’t”.
Klopp had vigorously defended Mignolet after a shaky display in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion last weekend, but a hamstring injury prevented the Belgian from lining up at Vicarage Road.

“I was watching Sunday’s game with a lot of the ex-players as it was our Christmas drinks and that performance put a dampener on the day”.
