Watkins’ status for game against Giants is uncertain

On Monday, coach Rex Ryan said that it is “certainly a possibility” that Watkins is unable to play because players who leave games with injuries are often unable to play the next week.

Watkins caught a 39-yard pass from Tyrod Taylor before leaving the contest. Watkins was able to walk towards the team’s locker room under his own power as he will get the calf examined by the Bills’ medical staff. Kraig Urbik replaced him at right guard.

Watkins, the second-year receiver, has seven receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown through the first three games. Miami is supposed to have one of the best defenses in the National Football League, but it has been torn apart by the Bills in the Dolphins’ home opener.
