The Indianapolis Colts won 25-12 today over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the Houston Texans won 24-6 over the New Orleans Saints.

Sunday’s loss to the Texans was the dagger. “They played great, both in the run and rushing the pass and on the back end”. They could not overcome it and Kai Forbath booted a 30-yard field goal to make it 14-3 Houston with 6:31 to play in the first half.
The offense came out firing and started with two gains over 10 yards to move the chains on two quick first downs. But since they were down, they tried to work at a fast rate.

Two former Texans got the Jets even at 3-3 with 8:21 left in the first half. With six games remaining on the regular season schedule never say never for New Orleans, but if this group wants a chance at making a surprise run the time is now to get it together. It is going to take time to dismantle the current roster and rebuild through the draft and bringing in veteran players who don’t cost an arm and a leg against the salary cap.
The Saints defense was playing its first game after the firing of Rob Ryan. The Saints rushed for only 50 yards as a team, their worst performance since a 34-7 Monday night loss at Seattle in 2013. Being patient in running the ball isn’t always Sean Payton’s best attribute, so that’s a bit scary. “We’d run the football, we had a few big runs, but outside of that, it wasn’t good enough”.
The Texans scored on their first possession of the game after holding the visitors on their first possession.
The Saints have been an odd conundrum this season.
They’re Buffalo’s second straight opponent to come in on a hot streak.
At 26, Watt has the potential to become one of the best defensive players of the NFL.
“There will be some things that we’ve got to clean up, but overall it was organized and efficient”, Payton said of Allen’s first game.
