The Manchester United team flew to China on Tuesday for their 2016-17 pre-season tour.

United have endured a number of hard seasons following the departure of Alex Ferguson in 2013, finishing seventh, fourth and fifth in the Premier League over the past three seasons.

Pogba has reportedly told his family and friends about his desire to return to Manchester United and now the Juventus hierarchy are aware of the Frenchman’s intentions.

The 30-year-old striker added: ‘I’m excited.

“The appointment of Mourinho is a big appointment for us and we’re all excited by it”.

The 23-year-old left Old Trafford following a disagreement with Sir Alex Ferguson, leading to widespread dejection and surprise amongst players and fans at seeing such a talented player leave the club.

“The signings we’ve made have been fantastic”.

“It will be hard but let’s hope we can have a good preparation and then we will see”.

Mourinho oversaw a 2-0 victory in his first official game in charge at the weekend as the Red Devils beat Wigan Athletic 2-0 at the DW Stadium on Saturday. “With Jose leaving Chelsea and now coming back into the Premier League with United, for me it is a great move”.

“I’ve only had one day [training with Mourinho] since we came out, but it was a very good day”, Reuters quotes Rooney as saying after arriving in Shanghai on Wednesday.

“But I think you have to look at the teams he has been at before and the success he has brought to them teams, which we’re hoping and we believe that he can bring that success to us”.
