We’ll have ‘master plan’ to make ‘record breaking’ McGregor bout happen

So maybe Mayweather is looking at a hybrid super-fight between himself and MMA star McGregor. He focuses on how unsafe the opponent is to make the fight intriguing – like he did with Andre Berto – and also to make him look all the more impressive when he dominates and is impossible to hit.

The conversation inevitably steered itself toward the rumored Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather Jr superfight and once again, Mayweather did nothing but add to the speculation that the fight could potentially happen. We really don’t know as of right now. In fact, Mayweather, who recently retired, stated that this is the only fight that will draw him back into the sport. “But like I’ve said, ‘Floyd, you want to fight Conor, call me'”. Financial concerns have been one of the conversation points injected into McGregor’s reoccurring battles with the UFC, but Mayweather has insisted that wouldn’t be a problem if he and the Irishman were to fight. The most popular fighter in boxing right now is Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, and he just brought in 450,000 PPV buys for his fight against Amir Khan this month. Of course, most people have understandably viewed White’s comments as a joke, and at best, a willingness to discuss a MMA bout, not boxing.

‘It hasn’t happened, yet, but we locked down some dates, me and my team, me and Al Haymon, me and Leonard Ellerbe.

While this could obviously point towards McGregor returning to the UFC to defend his belt, considering Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar are getting ready to square off at UFC 200, the bout would not be until after the summer at the earliest.

Rumours of a potential crossover fight between all-time boxing great Mayweather and former UFC featherweight champion McGregor have continued to gather steam in recent weeks with both fighters seemingly open to the idea.

“I’m pretty sure we’re gonna have a master plan to make that fight happen”, he said. That was disgusting and this ties it for the let me puke in my barf bag!

He lost his last fight to Nate Diaz at UFC 196, and since then has been locked in a posturing match with the company over the control of his career.

We’re still calling B.S on this superfight, but Floyd Mayweather has us doubting ourselves..

He said: “We haven’t picked a venue, we haven’t talked about money yet”.

“I will get there and run through (Edgar)”.
