We Now Know What The Democratic Convention Will Look Like
(Philadelphia) _ An application by Bernie Sanders’ campaign for a permit to rally during the Democratic National Convention has been denied.

A spokeswoman for Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney says it was rejected because of the requested location in a park across from the convention site. “In the coming weeks I will be announcing the creation of a successor organization to our presidential campaign to advance the struggle that we have been a part of in the last 15 months”, he said. The response from the candidate is that there will be higher taxes on higher income families but a side symptom of this move is that college tuition may be free for many but other expenses like room and board and living expenses will go up because of higher demand. Democrats’ college affordability efforts for a long time focused on priorities like more generous funding of Pell Grants and payment protections for students who struggle to pay back student loans, he said.
She said she also believes Sanders, who won primaries and caucuses in 22 states, will encourage his supporters to give their support to Clinton because of the party’s overall goal of unity.
Sanders told his supporters he intends to speak at the convention. According to the report, progressive Democrats have found themselves repeatedly at odds with the party establishment over the previous year and are now prepared to finally ditch the party in hopes that the future of the American political system would see a breakaway from the traditional, and mostly crushing, two-party system. He told them during a conference call this week that a full 50-state roll call vote was expected. “I’m not going to suspend my campaign”.
Al Simon, a town councilor and Sanders delegate from Windsor, has contributed some small donations to the eight delegates’ online fundraising campaigns. But he says he objects to her being “basically the right wing of the Democratic party”, and says she has been “since the 80’s”.
Sanders said he wants to make sure candidates receiving such help are, in fact, progressive. “I feel like students are consistently excluded from the political process, and Bernie Sanders was inspiring about getting young people involved”.

“Through narrative storytelling utilizing innovative technology, Hillary Clinton’s vision that we are stronger together will come into strong focus for the American people”, the DNC said in a statement.
