‘We strongly support Jeremy Corbyn’s new type of politics’

Jess Phillips, an outspoken critic of the Labour leader, has said the levels of abuse within the party had become so bad that she would consider sitting as an independent unless the treatment of MPs “dramatically” changed.

The problem is the bulk of career Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) MPs like Owen Smith, who is, standing against Corbyn detest his democratic election because as they only originated from the dregs of Blairite New Labour they were only elected as uncontested Labour candidates in their constituencies because of that.

“Jeremy has hit all the targets which were set for him in the past year with more seats won in local elections, national by-elections and city mayoral elections”.

The leader went on: “We will receive a report from Iain about the process that has gone on over the last few months. But let’s look at that when the new NEC takes over”.

“This decision advantaged Corbyn and his Sturm Abteilung (stormtroopers), but on Friday afternoon the Appeal Court handed down a big decision for British democracy (to exclude 130,000 members)”.

Speaking about Dame Margaret’s comments, Mr Corbyn told reporters: “I’ve known Margaret for a very long time and of course I’m very happy to work with her”.

TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady said: “Rail passengers are paying more and getting even less”.

Ms Phillips said: “Words is all well and good”.

Mr Hedges said the introduction of “one member, one vote” had been meant to reduce the power of Labour activists but instead gave “great control” to the party’s national executive committee (NEC).

Michael Foster, the Jewish Labour donor who launched a legal challenge against Jeremy Corbyn, has said he has been accused by supporters of the party leader of using false claims of antisemitism to smear left-wingers. “We would come back in an era where I don’t think we would have an NHS and I don’t think we’d have a comprehensive education system”, he told supporters at a campaign event in Salford.

Mrs Phillips added: “I’d like to see them not inciting it”. It showed 60 per cent of the public think he will take victory, with men, women and people in every age, social and political group sure his victory is sealed.

One member who stood up to speak in favour of Mr Smith was booed, which sparked a series of critical tweets. It’s undeniable that this is happening.
