Hello Games has detailed the first major patch coming to No Man’s Sky at some point today which is set to make some big changes to the game. Murray also mentioned their plans for the next patches to come that includes upgrading the graphical quality of the game and enabled players to build space stations and acquire huge trade fighters. According to the change log, fans will now have to choose one of three “paths” that will determine the things they will see later on in the universe.

However, he continued, “With more powerful hardware, we can have more trees, more leafs on those trees”. Other tweaks include adjustments to standard combat, space combat, more unsafe planet types, updated terrain generation, more ship types, and the ability to scan areas for other players to make interaction with each other across the game’s 18 quintillion (really) worlds more likely.

“No Man’s Sky” is one of the most highly-anticipated video games of the summer – and it was created in a shed – by 15 people – in southern England. Sean Murray from Hello Games has been live streaming the game at Twitch. PC users will have to wait until August 13 to play. “We’re already proud of what we put on a disk, but if we had time, why not continue to update it?”

No Man’s Sky will be officially released on August 9 (August 10 in the UK) for Playstation 4 while the PC version comes on August 12.
