Army chief General Raheel Sharif arrived in Germany on Monday to attend Central and South Asia Security Conference.

“We have given great sacrifices and it is time for Pakistan to move on, have peace and stability and make economic progress”, he said.
Stressing the need for revival of the reconciliation process in Afghanistan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Raheel Sharif has that peace and reconciliation are of vital importance for a larger settlement of issues in the country amid the hurdles it faces.
“A peaceful Afghanistan can open regional connectivity”, he said.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), speaking at a reception held at Pakistan High Commission in London the army chief went on to say that our nation has made a decision to put an end to terrorism and that armed forced of Pakistan will not leave operation Zarb-e-Azb incomplete.
Talking about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the COAS said that the project a game changer and it would benefit not only Pakistan but the entire region.

General Raheel’s visit to Germany comes a day after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the sidelines of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly. Diverse issues ranging from matters of mutual interest, regional security to defence co-operation were discussed.
