Weather Forecast: Return of dry weather for Wednesday

We will see near record highs with temperatures in the upper 70s under sunny skies. Clouds will increase Friday and Saturday. It should be a pretty nice day with winds out of the southeast up to 15 miles per hour and low humidity. However, that ridge is dissipating, allowing cold air to enter from the west, said Johnnie Powell, a forecaster with the National Weather Service. Our next shot at some rain will return late this weekend.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy. Lows in the low 30s. We’ll also see a welcome weekend warm-up, but for now a considerable chill remains. Highs: Upper 30s to low 40s.

Temperatures will slowly climb up over the next few days. Because of the circulation patterns within those areas, wind from the south will blow into the upper Midwest, creating the warm wave. The heaviest rain will most likely be Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Highs are expected to reach the lower 50s on Friday and stay in the 40s for Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday will be partly sunny, with a high in the mid-40s. The overnight low will be right around 30 degrees.
