Weather service confirms tornado in southern Wisconsin
One family living in the vicinity of CR 102 north of Ava verified seeing two funnel clouds as the storm passed.

CHICAGO – The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Tornado Watch for Ford and Livingston counties until 10 p.m. The extent of the damage is unclear but trees were down in the area and some sheds and grain bins were crumpled. A barn was destroyed and siding on a home was damaged by flying debris.
Another structure also was damaged at 13129 E. County A in addition to trees in this area where power lines also were knocked down, according to the release.
Hendricks, Johnson, Marion and Morgan counties remain under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:30. No warnings have been issued thus far.
The weather service has a hazardous weather alert that could include severe and damaging winds and isolated hail Saturday evening and heavy rain that could cause flash flooding.

Another storm passed through the area around noon Tuesday, dumping 1.7 inches of rain on the Drury community in eastern Douglas County, and small hail was reported with that storm. Those storms developed across the watch area through the afternoon, feeding on upper 70-to near 80-degree dew point air.
