Web Catch: School choir sings touching tribute to teacher with cancer – Rick
These passionate young students completely convey the love they have for Mrs. Lopez, and it’s hard to watch her break down as she listens to their angelic voices without getting emotional.

Adriana Lopez, a teacher at PS 22 in Staten Island, New York, was pleasantly surprised when the school’s chorus serenaded her with a rendition of Martina McBride’s survival anthem, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”
Lopez is seen sitting in the choir room and immediately begins to tear up as the choir’s director explains they “wanted to give something back” in honor of her “fighting spirit”. Just when you think the song can’t possibly tug at your heartstrings any more, at the 1:55 mark, the students raise up pink flowers.
The performance seems to have lived up to its lyrics and given the teacher some comfort.
You can tell how flawless the song selection really is by Mrs. Lopez’s reaction, which pretty much mirrors our own reaction watching the video: crying, sobbing and more crying.
