Here’s a quick primer if you aren’t sure how the FedExCup playoffs work.

Golfers are awarded points throughout the season for the FedEx Cup standings. And with the playoffs comes the fun of player positioning (Who will move inside the top 100 and make it into the Deutsche Bank Championship field?) and endless scenarios move to the forefront of broadcast window banter.

Each regular PGA Tour event is worth 500 FedExCup points, with 550 awarded to the winners of each of the World Golf Championships and 600 to those who claim a major title or win the Players Championship.

“… I recognize that it’s just not possible, you have to get so many great breaks to have the kind of year like last year”. RICHY WERENSKI 80/1 2 points each way.

Donald birdied that hole to pull within three strokes of Kim at 16 under, and Rafa Cabrera Bello – Kim’s playing partner – joined him by chipping in for eagle from a greenside bunker on that hole.

“East Lake Golf Club has served as a fitting venue for the finale of our FedEx Cup season”, PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem said. Reigning British Open champ and Olympic silver medalist Henrik Stenson checks in third (7/1). Spieth missed the cut at the 2015 Barclays and was 14th at the PGA Championship in his last tournament. It’s that special time of year when the PGA Tour tries to make us care about something that the players wouldn’t care about if there wasn’t a $10 Million Dollar prize to the victor.
