Expect plenty of sunshine through the day with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. The other big changes include some pretty wet weather early next week.

Discussion: High pressure moves to the east giving us an onshore flow resulting in higher temperatures and humidity over the weekend. You might need to grab a light jacket if you have dinner plans.

Friday will be another sunny day.

Daytime highs during the next few weeks will begin in the 70s and will likely cool to the 60s Monday and stay there for most of the period.

We began the morning with clouds still lingering, mainly north of the I-20/59 corridor.

In addition to the mild temperatures, it will be breezy at times which will lead to an elevated fire danger in portions of the southern Plains midweek. It is possible we could see a stray shower on Saturday, but for most of us skies will be overcast. Highs will top out in the 80s in western and southern Texas.

Friday: Mostly sunny in the morning…then becoming mostly cloudy. By Wednesday the wet weather will arrive with temperatures dropping to the low 60s.
