Week 10 Waiver Wire
With roster fine-tuning in mind, below is a look at the Week 10 waiver-wire adds. Lacy might be the biggest fantasy bust this season and was awful against the Panthers. These are players I am buying and selling as we close in on many league’s trade deadlines.

This list is only for the positions you need, not necessarily a list of which players to pick up first. He’s tossed eight touchdowns vs. one interception, and he’s got arguably the league’s best receiver right now (DeAndre Hopkins) at his disposal. There are a number of plays we can exploit, so let’s dive into the matchups. Obviously, you want to make sure you are not giving up too much in the trade. That may or may not be true but why have that weighing on your mind. Washington has been the more productive one, so if you’re desperate and have the room, prioritize him. As I improved my record in all fantasy leagues I’m a part of, I can hear your cry for help and I’m here for you. No, of course not, but shouldn’t the Browns be starting him to get him experience, to find out what they have? Probably, but one thing Fantasy owners should be anxious about is that Manziel did fail to get Gary Barnidge involved, as he only had two receptions for 35 yards.
Something just isn’t right with Eddie Lacy. It’s just not working out. Blount already has as many rushing touchdowns this season as he did all of past year. That’s horrific. We certainly wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. Hill saw just 30 snaps last week, good for 44.8 percent of the Bengals’ offensive plays. The bottom line is that Starks has been the better back in in Green Bay all season, and he’s finally getting his chance to take over the starting gig for good.
We don’t know how long Dion Lewis will be out for as of this writing.
Unfortunately, Lewis is out for the year with a knee injury. Despite having less carries than Lacy this season, James Starks has more rushing yards. A consensus first-round pick headed into the season, Hill is averaging just 3.3 YPC with five touchdowns. Miami stinks against the run, and DeMarco Murray and Mathews will play the roles of LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams this week. He is once again worth picking up if he’s available on your waiver wire. The good news is that it is only going to keep him sidelined for a week or two. There is a few talk (from Fitzpatrick) that he could undergo surgery on his hand as soon as Friday.
Coach Del Rio confirmed that Murray is indeed undergoing the leagues concussion protocol and in the past this has caused him to miss time. Not to mention that Matt Forte is also banged up. Cassel was decent in Week 9 but has been bad in his other two 2015 starts and is the type of quarterback that can provide a defense with playmaking opportunities.
Rishard Matthews of the Dolphins has been quite good for the team and fantasy owners. With Big Ben out next week against the Browns, I am looking for the Steelers to give Williams another heavy workload. Bortles on the season has put up QB1 numbers more often than not and is ranked 9th among QBs this season in terms of total fantasy points according to Yahoo! Or possibly it’s because he is the most talented receiver on a team with Drew Brees as the quarterback going up against a team that only allowed the Texans to find the end zone through the air twice. TD’s in every game played. Still, that doesn’t do fantasy owners well. They announced late in the week that TY Hilton had suffered a foot sprain and was highly questionable for the game.
The fantasy football Week 10 schedule is here and a few free agent pickups off the waiver wire include James White, Brandon Bolden, James Starks, Jeremy Langford, Stevie Johnson, Marcel Reece, Taiwan Jones, Antonio Andrews, Shaun Draughn and David Cobb. Perhaps he had a magical recovery, or perhaps the Colts told a little white lie. In addition, Kansas City has allowed Alex Smith to be sacked 29 times this season, the third-highest mark in the NFL. Everyone is assuming that Tony Romo will return in Week 11.
Yes, the Browns, at 2-7, are very bad, but a wide receiver is only as good as the quarterback throwing to him. Proceed with caution here.
