With Week 3 being an important game for the Jets, here are five players to watch.
CHIEFS ILB Derrick Johnson had 11 tackles and a sack in Week 2. The Chiefs have been one of the top teams in sacks and turnover ratio over the past few years and those are areas they are lacking in the early going thus far.
New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (14) throws a pass during the first quarter against the Buffalo Bills at New Era Field. Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 24 of 34 passes for 374 yards and one touchdown. The opponent? The Jets of NY, a team who was supposed to be a defensive juggernaut this season, but has allowed 54 points in two total games so far. In the receiving end, Eric Decker posted 126 yards and a touchdown in six receptions while Brandon Marshall added 101 yards in six catches.
There’s cause for concern with JETS CB Darrelle Revis, who got burned on Bills WR Marquise Goodwin’s 84-yard TD catch in Week 2 after getting repeatedly torched by Bengals WR A.J. Green in Week 1. Defensively, the Jets are yielding 27.0 points and 387.0 total yards (315.5 passing and 71.5 rushing ) per game against the opposing teams.
Kansas City is 1-5 against the spread against the AFC, 1-4 against the spread following a loss, and 0-4 against the spread in their last 4 home games. But he could make his 2016 debut on Sunday against the Jets.
