Week 9 National Football League odds have Eagles favored over the Cowboys in Dallas

Linebacker Kiko Alonso, out since injuring his knee in Week 2, could return to practice this week and possibly be available for Sunday’s game against Dallas and linebacker DeMeco Ryans, who missed the Carolina game with a hamstring injury, had two weeks to heal thanks to the bye week, and hopes to return to practice this week and play Sunday.

The Dallas Cowboys need their second home victory to snap a five-game losing streak.

The Eagles are coming off their bye week, which followed a 27-16 road loss to the Carolina Panthers in the Week 7 Sunday night game. After denying that Sam Bradford is going anywhere, could a change at the running back position be a necessary spark? Matthews had nine catches for 133 yards.

The Cowboys have lost every game without quarterback Tony Romo, who will miss at least one more with a broken left collarbone.

As in several games during the skid, Dallas had its chances. Philadelphia’s wide receivers can’t catch a pass to save their lives.

The Cowboys enter this week’s matchup with Darren McFadden prepared to start his second straight game. We just never got it going.

The advantage was short-lived. Cowboys returner Lucky Whitehead took the ensuing kickoff 3 yards deep in the end zone and raced 79 yards. Bryant was one of them, and he outjumped everyone to snag the ball for his first touchdown of the season.

Alonso injured his left knee during the September 20 game at Lincoln Financial Field. Cassel has had an opportunity to win a game with the Cowboys in each of his two starts, failing to come through in both.

The Eagles could use potential playmaking ability because they have a league high 28 drops going into week nine, 18 of those by receivers.

Still, the Cowboys talked about how much his presence helped others. Bradford found Murray and Matthews for 44 and 28 yards, respectively. He’s been more effective, as of late, and Ryan Mathews has also been running the ball well.

Game 7: Inactive (ankle). Murray set several school records at Oklahoma, rushing for 3,685 yards and 50 touchdowns on 759 carries while catching 157 passes for 1,571 yards and 13 touchdowns. However, the Seahawks did drive the length of the field in the fourth quarter for the go-ahead field goal in the final minutes, spoiling a valiant effort by the Cowboys defense, which produced its first turnover since the Week 2 win over the Eagles.

While the players spent much of their time off resting their minds and their bodies, Kelly was dissecting tape from the first seven games of the season.
