Both these movies did exceptional business in the first 2 days at Indian Box-office. However if one looks at the first three days collections of (Tuesday release) Jab Tak Hai Jaan (49.22 crore) which clashed with Son of Sardaar, the numbers are much better. Both these movies are doing exceptionally well in overseas too. On Saturday, there was a drop in the collection of “Dilwale” – Rs 20.09 cr whereas “Bajirao Mastani” collection increased as it earned Rs 15.05 cr. “Dilwale” minted $8.5 million (Rs 56.38 crore) from the overseas box office in its opening weekend, thus taking its worldwide total to Rs 121.47 crore. Australia – biggest opening of 2015, biggest ever for SRK. As well as, Dilwale opened with 70% occupancy in comparison with Bajirao Mastani’s 30%.

Dilwale is being released by Shah Rukh Khan’s company and is said to have been made at a budget of over Rs 75 crore. The film is expected to cross Rs 100 crore mark before the end of first week.
