Weekend Donations To Salvation Army To Be Triple-Matched

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Thousands of gifts donated to the Salvation Army Angel Tree program have been sorted and readied for delivery to children in need around WAVE Country.
During this season, the Salvation Army has raised $179,000 as of Friday.
The Salvation Army is scrambling to make Christmas brighter for hundreds of seniors who have not been adopted through the Angel Tree Program.
Salvation Army officials say they are grateful for all the donations given.
The families signed up for this Christmas assistance in July, which also includes clothes.
Last year, more than 82,000 toys and household items were donated to through Hawaii’s Angel Tree program.
With one week left to go in the Kettle Campaign the “army” of Kettle Bell Ringers will be out full force right up until December 24.
