Weekend weather: Sunny, highs in the low 50s, lows in the 30s

A few rain showers will develop by Monday evening, with a change to snow showers overnight as colder air moves in. About three inches of snow is predicted, but “worst case” scenario maps predict up to six to seven inches throughout Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. Accumulating snow? Models sending mixed messages, but possible.

Forecasters with the NWS say there is still some uncertainty regarding exact snowfall amounts and storm impacts.

Mostly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 44. There’s not much in the way of wind, but what wind there is comes from the north-northeast at around 5-10 miles per hour.

More from Chestnut Hill-Mt. Another cold front and disturbance could bring some flurries or snow showers late Friday night into Saturday. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Only minor accumulation (half an inch or so) is expected during the day Tuesday. High temperatures will be set in the upper 20’s and lower 30’s in the morning, falling in to the lower 20’s in the afternoon.

Monday: Scattered snow showers will be possible with temperatures falling throughout the day. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Thursday will see early showers in the morning eventually tapering to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures breaking into the low 50s by afternoon.
