AAA says the average national prices is $2.20 and Connecticut ranks 22nd with the highest prices.
Gasoline prices in the Syracuse area have fallen 2 cents a gallon over the past week and could drop another 10 to 12 cents next month, according to a price-tracking site. Drivers in Manhattan are paying the most at an average of $2.25 a gallon.

The market fundamentals appear to be moving favorably for USA motorists; pushing the benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude lower, as it starts the week at $44.53 [per barrel].
