It’s unclear so far what kind of sentencing Wolf will get – in NY, maximum sentences for possession of child pornography alone range from 10 years to life imprisonment.

The probe into the 59-year-old dentist’s behavior began in March, when a meth dealer arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation became an informant, according to the NY Daily News.
But it also turns out that Dr. John Wolf not only is HIV-positive, but the charges include that he deliberately poked holes in condoms before he had sex with people to intentionally attempt to spread HIV to his partners.
An undercover agent posing as a paedophile met with Wolf in his office and said Wolf played disgusting child porn videos for him.
A dentist in Greenwich Village has been arrested on child porn charges and investigators are questioning if any of his underage patients might have been abused or videotaped at his offices, NBC 4 NY has learned.
Patients of Dr. John Wolf knew him as a popular, friendly NY dentist who made a point to treat patients with HIV at a time when health care professionals wouldn’t.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation had the dealer secretly record his conversations with Wolf, one of which involved Wolf recalling a party in Brooklyn where “participants would engage in sexual intercourse with animals”.
After searching Dr. Wolf’s home and office on Friday morning, federal agents found methamphetamine and a flash drive filled with 246 files, mostly child pornography, according to a memorandum filed by prosecutors. The informant said Wolf admitted to hosting sex parties in the basement of his West 15th Street office.
Apparently, Wolf is a well known dentist and HIV/AIDS Activist in Chelsea NY.
He was arrested when a drug dealer told authorities Wolf had “paid” for amphetamines with dental work and shown in footage of “infants and toddlers being sexually abused by adults”, reports Gawker.
Wolf’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told The NY Times in an email that “the complaint alone… suggests real entrapment questions”. You can see a video of Wolf, then a member of the NY City Gay Men’s Chorus, discussing his activism in the ’80s.

Outside his apartment building on Friday, residents described Wolf as benevolent man who seemed pretty ordinary.
