A support fund has been launched to help the American alpinists Scott Adamson and Kyle Dempster, now missing on Ogre II, Pakistan.

Because of weather, American climbers Kyle Dempster and Scott Adamson are stuck on a mountain in Pakistan and need your help. They started up Ogre-II on August 21, planning to spend five days to reach the summit and descend. He reportedly spotted them halfway up the mountain on Monday evening.

“When they did not return on the expected date, the base camp team informed the local tour operator, after which we started communication with all concerned local authorities and the climbers’ families”, Haidri said.

“Please help these boys”. With the unreliable weather we are needing more money everyday.

The family has set up a GoFundMe campaign*, which has collected more than $53,000 as of Wednesday morning. Dempster is an AAC member and Adamson likely is too, which means both likely have a form of medical evacuation insurance from a company called Global Rescue, but that’s not of much use unless they can be located.

The GoFundMe page was aiming to raise $100,000 for the emergency rescue of Dempster and Adamson. Our rescue team at basecamp has attempted to climb the descent route but have been turned back due to weather. Dempster, who co-owns a coffee shop in Salt Lake City, is sponsored by Black Diamond and a handful of other equipment retailers, including Outdoor Research and La Sportiva. He won it the second time after scaling the treacherous Ogre I peak in 2012.

US media said the two men were accomplished climbers, and Dempster had won the prestigious Piolet d’Or alpine climbing award twice.

Thesenga says the two made the same attempt previous year and almost died after Dempster broke a leg and the two later fell 400 feet down the mountain.
