Well, The Galaxy Note 7 Is Exploding. Literally
Following the huge amount of hype that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 received, it has been recalled shortly after its American release on August 19.

Customers have complained of the phone exploding while charging its battery.
35 cases of problems with the smartphone’s battery have been reported.
In one of the largest smartphone recalls in the history of the wireless industry, Samsung says it will recall all shipments of the company’s Galaxy Note 7 due to risk of explosion.
According to the reports, within two weeks of the first sale of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, 35 faulty phone batteries have been reported.
On Wednesday Samsung said it had halted supply of the new phone to the top three South Korean carriers and that shipments were being delayed as it conducted additional quality testing. In the coming weeks it will offer customers a new product for free to replace all 2.5 million Galaxy Note 7s that have been sold.
The massive recall of one of Samsung’s flagship devices is an embarrassing setback for the world’s biggest selling smartphone maker. Samsung is committed to producing the highest quality products and we take every incident report from our valued customers very seriously.
This is also a symbolic loss for Samsung because it’s competing globally in mobile devices.
The South Korean firm has pinned its hopes on the Note 7 to maintain strong sales momentum in the second half against stiffening competition from the likes of Apple Inc, which is expected to release its latest iPhone next week. “We are working closely with our partners to ensure the replacement experience is as convenient and efficient as possible”, he company added in the statement.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall likely own’t be cheap. The Galaxy S7 has been a successful product, the Note 7 has received positive reviews, and the Gear S3 smartwatch was introduced at the IFA consumer electronics trade show this week. The carrier’s statement doesn’t say it’ll pay any difference between your Note 7 purchase and the value of your replacement device, however; instead, it claims you’ll be able to return that new device for a functional Note 7 at some point “in the future”.
