They were confident of wrapping up the deal before the England squad left for France but Vardy has not yet committed to the deal with the Foxes also trying to offer him a new deal with increased wages.

Here is the latest on Jamie Vardy’s proposed Arsenal move as of Wednesday morning AEST. The 23-year-old, who is in the Spain squad for Euro 2016, looks set to rejoin Real Madrid next month when they trigger a clause in the transfer agreement that took him from the Bernabeu to Juventus in 2014.
Arsene Wenger is acutely aware that the player could choose to remain with the Premier League champions, or that bids from rival clubs might be encouraged should he perform well at the European Championship.
Speaking to TalkSPORT, the former England worldwide said: “I am absolutely flabbergasted with it. Arsenal don’t get the ball forward quick enough for Jamie Vardy”.
But should Vardy leave it might increase speculation that other Leicester players, among them Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante, could see their own futures elsewhere.
“Twenty of his goals must have been over the top, balls that he is running on to, beat the goalie and great finish”.
There is still no confirmation that a deal is confirmed, and both Arsenal and Leicester City have no mention of Vardy on their official websites. He is ideal for them. “Arsenal don’t get the ball forward quickly enough”.
“That is no disrespect to him”.
“I’m shocked. I’m absolutely flabbergasted with it. Arsenal don’t get the ball forward quick enough for Jamie Vardy”, he told talkSPORT. Teams kick-off against Arsenal and immediately put 10 behind the ball and they’ve got to try and break them down.
Having finished second last season, the North Londoners will be looking to go one better next time round. Koscielny has heaped praise on the England worldwide and he believes Wenger’s side will get a natural goalscorer if they manage to land the Foxes frontman.

England manager Hodgson has urged his players to focus fully on the Euro 2016 campaign, however, which begins with the Group B opener against Russian Federation in Marseille on Saturday.
