Arsene Wenger has confirmed Arsenal are closing in on signing striker Lucas Perez and centre-back Shkodran Mustafi but says the deals are yet to be completed.

Further, Arsenal were desperately chasing Valencia’s defender Shkodran Mustafi, but the deal is yet to reach a conclusion.
If the deals are completed as expected, Wenger should be able to call on both players after the global break.
He told reporters on Friday: “We are working on the deals”.
“They will integrate into the team now and we will help them join the squad”, Wenger continued.
However, that’s the summer transfer window- you win some, you lose some and it’s good of Wenger to be honest about it with himself, his club and his supporters. I am 99% confident.
They join Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano, Rob Holding and Kelechi Nwakali as new signings made this summer.

Mustafi is a 24-year-old Germany center back and his arrival would solve an injury crisis, with Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker now sidelined with long-term problems. “I expect the next three days to be very, very busy, so be on alert!”
