Koscielny has been valuable this season for Arsenal, leading the team with 4 interceptions per game.

Arsenal take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday with Arsene Wenger’s side looking to build on their brilliant 3-0 victory against Manchester United prior to the worldwide break. So although it is great for the Gunners to now have a player in Coquelin that can do both, it is very handy for Arsenal to have the two different styles of his back ups.

Petr Cech: The Czech goalkeeper is a first choice goalkeeper at Arsenal and hence an automatic starter. “He has a definite test tomorrow”, he told the club’s official website.

The centre-back was initially ruled out for three weeks but he’s recovered quicker than expected and will now have a late fitness test to see if he can return against Watford this weekend. At the time Arteta and Flamini will be certainly will certainly be available for selection.

Wenger, though, was less upbeat over Wilshere and Welbeck.

“They [Wilshere and Welbeck] are progressing well”.

“Koscielny has a slight chance to be back on Saturday”, Wenger confirmed, as quoted by The Express.

Wenger added: “From the internationals we only have positive news”. I am not [comfortable that Sanchez played against Brazil and Peru] but there is not a lot I can do about it. He came off as you saw against Manchester United with a hip problem, a rotator muscle, and he wants to go.
