Wenger fears injuries will wreck Arsenal title push

Ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp claims that his old side could have the advantage over Arsenal in the North London Derby due to the difficulty of their European game this week.

Wenger added: “I said as well in that press conference that I can not call all the managers”. “I watched the game again and not a lot has changed since my analysis after the game”. If there were just five or six to play, then there would be pressure. But I believe we can challenge [for the title].

“You want to be up there at the top and we are at the moment”.

“I believe it is an advantage to be top because it strengthens your belief that you can go all the way”.

The France worldwide is in with a chance of bolstering Arsenal’s backline when their near neighbours visit Emirates stadium, although a groin complaint means the match comes too soon for Bellerin.

Speaking about his new acquisition from the Blues, Wenger spoke about his belief that Cech will go down as one of the greatest the English game has seen.

As things stand Spurs are fifth in the table with 20 points while Arsenal are second on 25 points, behind current leaders Manchester City only on goal-difference.

But Kane – who found the net against Villa at White Hart Lane – believes Tottenham are now well placed to stun their rivals thanks to their recent form, plus a number of key absentees for Arsene Wenger. “It will be a tough opponent just like every year”.

“They took a bit of a hiding in midweek and they are going to want to put that right”, Kane said. There have been periods when we have been eight or nine points behind them in April.

“They have done well”.

Should Bellerin end up not featuring in the game, it will be a big blow for Arsenal who have lost four of the five games the young Spaniard has not started so far this season, conceding 13 goals in the process.

The match kicked off at 11.30am, and the terraces featured more than a few hung-over casualties of the previous night’s celebrations, Indeed many of them, as was also tradition at the time, were still in party fancy dress.

“They are a side that are strong defensively and can play at a a high pace in a committed way”.
