Wenger hints Ospina may be Arsenal’s keeper in Champions League
“I have two world-class goalkeepers.I can give them both games”. Having won 71 games out of their 153 games played, they have won more matches than any other side not to have won a Champions League trophy.

Arsenal’s wobble in the Champions League at the start of last season, with surprise defeats to both Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos that nearly condemned them to an early exit, was partly attributed to Wenger’s decision to play Ospina in goal. “Tonight he showed his detractors that he is a very good goalkeeper, those who doubted him”.
Wenger said the Colombian, who made an error in Arsenal’s Champions League defeat by Olympiakos Piraeus last season, has silenced his critics. “That’s why it is important to have clear rules from the start, and when that changes I inform them”, said the Frenchman. The Gunners, who have qualified for the Champions League for the last 19 seasons, will be confident of continuing their record of reaching the knockout rounds for 16 consecutive years after being paired with three clubs that, surprisingly, they have never faced before in the competition.
“On what he delivered tonight, he has the right to stay in the team for the next Champions League game”.
The France striker will miss Arsenal’s next Group A game at home to FC Basel on September 28, while Verratti will be sidelined for PSG’s match away to Bulgarian champions Ludogorets. He wasn’t the best but I said that the first thing is creating the chances. In the second half we played higher, and after the kick-off in the second half we had a good chance to come back, which we did. I am not so sure about the manager’s tactics but as long as the luck holds, happy days.
