Wenger wants Arsenal response in North London derby

Francis Coquelin is his surprising pick in an Arsenal XI from the players Pires played with and the players at the club now.

As if losing Theo Walcott and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain in the same match wasn’t enough; both Bellerin and Koscielny are likely to miss out on Sunday’s action, Bellerin will surely miss while Koscielny - who only returned from a back injury last month - is doubtful.

“I’m very concerned. Because we are only in November and we have so many players out. I have never played at the Emirates before so hopefully we can go there and get the win”. English internationals like Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier make up a talented, and incredibly young core. “He will have a test Saturday morning, so will Mikel Arteta”. The only trouble is, that per their own manager Arsene Wenger, their advantage is disappearing right before their very eyes.

But veteran goalkeeper Cech knows they have a chance to erase those painful memories when they return to Premier League action against arch rivals Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

“At Christmas we will see better”. Now it is down to consistency and turning up for every game.

“If we had our usual defensive performance, we could have repeated what we had done in the first game”.

“I met Petr Cech and he told me he can be available for that money and I said for that money, I do it, so you do your job (and tell Chelsea)”. In Spurs great run of form youngsters Eric Dier and Dele Alli have been solid in the middle of the park, they will be looking to impress again, especially with the worldwide Break up and coming. Unlike Arsenal, they come into the game on the back of a European win. “We managed to get him here and we are happy with it”.

“Now, maybe in the last two or three years we are in a stronger financial situation, but that will not last because they build a new stadium as well”.

CDM- Francis Coquelin: Will need to keep Eriksen quiet if we are to win the game.

Wenger, though, believes the side he will be able to select on Sunday can continue the form which has seen Arsenal move level on points with leaders Manchester City in the Premier League standings following five successive victories.

Alexis Sanchez (6/5) also has six league goals to his name so far this season but is on a run of four matches without finding the net, granted two of those were against Champions League favourites Bayern Munich. They now sit fifth in the Premier League, five points behind Arsenal.
