Last night the Philadelphia Eagles handed the Chicago Bears a resounding loss at Soldier Field.

After the game, Cutler was wearing a cast on his right hand and said that he is indeed anxious about his thumb going forward. “Brian Hoyer stepped in and did a pretty good job”. And now the quarterback could be looking at a few games off to let the injury heal. What coordinator Dowell Loggains thinks this offense is or should be remains a mystery after two hard-to-decipher game plans. “I don’t know if you could see how I was running, but I definitely wanted to get in”.
Matthews was a featured receiver in the game and was pleased with the play calling. It’s kind of one thing after another that kills drives. “We’ve got to play better and that’s everywhere”. “It’s really all about just being positive and going forward with the next play”.

Cutler was getting hit all night long and took a beating which also led to the running game being rendered useless as Jeremy Langford rushed for only 28 yards and the team as a whole only mustered 64 yards on the ground against a rather suspect Eagles defense.
Cutler completed 12 of 17 passes for 157 yards but was sacked three times.
Eddie Royal returned a punt 65 yards for a consolation touchdown for the Bears with 5:09 remaining. But all of his production came in the first half. Trevathan was expected to strengthen the middle of the Bears’ linebacking corps along with Jerrell Freeman, who was signed away from the Colts this offseason as well. Royal (four catches, 52 yards) remains Cutler’s second-best option, but he’s not enough.
The Bears cannot catch a break right now in any facets of the game. But opponents are finding answers for him.
At the very least, Cutler will be out indefinitely considering Fox did not reveal a timeline on Tuesday.
