Weobley Primary raises £688 for Macmillan

The staff of Castletown based firm Optimus Fiduciaries Limited have been busy baking cakes for today’s MacMillan coffee morning in which they are raising money for the cancer charity.

Students taking part were Amy Rose Snow, Jacob Webb, Tori Rogers, Emma Cooper, Tyla Plater, Jessica Pain, Hayley Davis, Dylan Ratje-Irving, Owen Mapley, Jessica Flanders, Amy Jacobs, Saffron Wilson, Sofie Ager, Kadie James, Charlie Viney, Ellie Richardson, Kiaya Richardson, Evie Toms and Shona Arnold.

Kettles were boiled and mugs raised all around North Devon on Friday and Saturday as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

WHARFEDALE joined in with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday, with workplaces, community organisations and other venues serving up coffee and cake for charity.

Coventry’s own Lady Godiva Pru Porretta, stopped by for a cup of something hot during a recent Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Pru said: “Well done everyone on our coffee morning for Macmillan”. Approximately £500 has been raised so far and there is more to come in. “We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did”. The event was very well attended and started with an assembly on Macmillan.
