West Bank, Jerusalem Hit by Stabbing Attacks; Clashes Erupt in Hebron
Israeli forces killed a young Palestinian man and critically wounded another at a checkpoint near Nablus after an alleged stabbing attack, as violence continued throughout the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem on Friday.

Let’s begin our weekly report as usual with the nonviolent activities organized in the West Bank. one Palestinian villager was injured; scores of protesters were treated for the effects of tear gas inhalation on Friday when Israeli troops attacked anti wall and settlements protests organized in West Bank villages.
One of the attackers was shot dead and the other was shot and detained, he added.
Israel has withheld the majority of the bodies of those allegedly involved in stabbing attacks against Israelis since the beginning of October. Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said a Palestinian man stabbed a man waiting at the station, seriously injuring him.
Later on Friday, a Palestinian from east Jerusalem was also shot dead by an Israeli police force after he stabbed an Israeli there.
Elsewhere in the West Bank, in the volatile city of Hebron, hundreds of youths lobbed stones, firebombs and burning tyres at Israeli soldiers who hit back with tear gas and rubber bullets.
The city has seen frequent clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians protesting against the occupation.
According to AFP, Palestinian anger swelled around Israel’s refusal to return the bodies of many alleged attackers, further fueling demonstrations, riots and clashes with Israeli security forces in the area.
Thousands of mourners attended the funeral for the teenagers, including two girls, on Saturday in the occupied West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron) after Israeli authorities returned their bodies.
A variety of Israeli security experts and Palestinian activists have attributed this latest wave of terror to Palestinian incitement, particularly over the Temple Mount complex, which houses the al-Aqsa mosque.
Palestinian authorities said 8-month-old Ramadan Thawabteh was suffocated Friday by tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers during a Palestinian protest in Bethlehem.
More than 50 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire in Gaza, and two were in a critical condition, medical sources said.
Hebron – home to a shrine known to Jews as Cave of the Patriarchs and to Muslims as the Ibrahimi Mosque – is a city of 200,000 Palestinians, has always been the commercial heart of the West Bank.
The top Palestinian officials urged the court to speed up a probe into allegations of Israeli abuses amid an upsurge of fresh violence between the two sides.
The eight-month-old child’s death brings the total number of Palestinians killed this month to almost 70, at least ten of whom have been children.
“[We took] also examples of cases that have really occurred in the last 40 days of Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinians around occupied territory”, he told reporters after a meeting with prosecutor Fatou Bensouda.

On Wednesday, another 40-year-old woman was stabbed and moderately wounded in the West Bank, only half an hour after a Palestinian unsuccessfully attempted to stab soldiers in Hebron.
