The Palestinian Red Crescent says dozens more were wounded.

The Israeli army confirmed the arrest, accusing Abu Kweik of involvement in “Hamas terrorist activity” without giving details.
According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces on Tuesday staged an incursion into the Al-Fawar refugee camp near Hebron, searching several homes and detaining at least one Palestinian.
The dead youth was named Mohammed abu Hashhash, according to Hebron hospital official Walid Zaloum, who said abu Hashhash was killed by a bullet that entered through his back and struck above his heart. “[They] responded with riot dispersal means and fired 0.22 caliber bullets towards main instigators”.
Due to the typically aggressive nature of the raids, clashes often erupt between local Palestinian youth who throw stones and are met in response with live fire and tear gas, often resulting in serious, sometimes fatal injuries.
Some 10,000 people live in the Fawwar camp, established by the United Nations in 1949 a year after the creation of the state of Israel and the flight or expulsion of almost 800,000 Palestinians.
Israel’s Shin Bet security agency announced earlier in the day it had arrested eight West Bank Palestinians who were allegedly recruited to Hezbollah, a Shiite militant group in Lebanon that is classified by the USA and Israel as a terrorist organization. Saer Mayor Kayed Daradat said the demolitions affected 55 people, and noted the houses in question were built on land close to a Jewish settlement. They had begun preparing explosive devices for attacks, said the security service, which claimed credit for thwarting attacks against Israeli targets in the West Bank and Israel.
Abu Hashhash is the first Palestinian fatality this month in a confrontation with Israeli forces.
