West Brom humbles West Ham 4-2 in EPL

Keown recognises the problems West Ham are encountering following their move to a new home, but he has indicated Bilic should share part of the blame as his team have lacked balance this season.

Bilic believes the fans, like the team, will soon settle down at the venue.

Signed from Tottenham Hotspur for a reputed club record 13 million pounds ($16.90 million) in August, Chadli slotted home an eighth-minute penalty after Arthur Masuaku handled the ball in the box.

West Brom were on the front foot from the first whistle. “We were three down and we can say that some of the goals were individual mistakes”. The statement nearly seemed like a preemptive response to some anticipated statement of discontent from Pulis about the board; “Tony wanted five [new players] and we got five”, it read.

But despite a late surge, West Ham, who have now taken just three points from a possible 15, could not find the target again as they slumped to a second successive 4-2 defeat.

Manchester United’s failure to nick an undeserved equaliser against City last weekend has left me floundering at the bottom of the table as we go into Round 5, so I’m going for a slightly funky and nicely priced bet this week.

The next club to dine on Pulis’s leaden stodge was Crystal Palace, who had just dry-heaved the wholly nauseating tang of Ian Holloway’s carnival hi-jinks; they too needed a square, bland meal to recover, and Pulis gave it to them, taking them from the relegation zone to an 11th placed finish.

“The defending is not as required in a league like the Premier League”. It’s a good story, like they woke up from 2-0 to make it 4-2.

“It is a hard spell and to be honest at half-time I felt embarrassed”.

Keown said on the BBC’s Final Score programme: “It’s a new home where they haven’t been that convincing”. It is no time to panic but we have to act.

“We need to be aware of the situation and I don’t want to sound pessimistic, but I am and I have to live with this 24/7”.

It’s early days, but the Belgian midfielder, who started in the number 10 role, appears to be the goal-scoring creative midfielder the Baggies have so desperately needed. It was not a chance but the ball was put across our goal, very dangerously.
