It’s going to be an emotional night as this is the final game to be played at West Ham’s famous ground but it seems emotions have boiled over out on the streets before a ball has even been kicked.

Huge crowds, many without tickets, had congregated outside the stadium for the sell-out Premier League clash, West Ham’s final home game before moving to the 60,000-seat Olympic Stadium after 112 years at Upton Park.

“They’ve got a massive incentive with the Champions League but we’re looking forward to it. I’d make them kick-off at 7.45pm if I was in charge”.

“The coach got smashed up, but we’re here now, so we have to prepare for the game and go out and do our job”.

“I’m gravely disappointed”, he said.

However, West Ham co-owner David Sullivan said that United was to blame for not arriving earlier for such a high-profile game. Many fans will not be able to stay for that.

Swathes of fans gathered outside the ground and pelted the United team bus as it arrived late, marking the second time the Red Devils have forced a delayed kick-off this season after also showing up late against Tottenham. “The images tell everything”, he told Sky Sports.

United manager Louis van Gaal said: “The images shall tell everything”.

“I have seen also the police were taping”.

“It is not the first time I have seen that”. The way we have been received is not the proper way, of course.
