West Ham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are relieved to hear that their club are finally set to tie their wonderkid down on a long-term deal. As United fans, we’ve been lucky to have seen some of the best over the years – Beckham, Scholes, Ronaldo and Giggs to name but a few – and we’re enjoying plenty of that this season.

West Ham said on the club’s website: ” Today’s announcement practically guarantees that the new stadium will be sold out for every Premier League game next season, meaning an extra 1.5 million people will visit the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park each year – generating millions of pounds of extra revenue for the taxpayer in the process”.

“We’re still fighting and we’re still in a fantastic position, so let’s not forget where we’ve come from”. “That is the good thing, it is not all doom and gloom, we have had a great season and we still have two games left and things are still in our hands”. With two games to go we are talking about Europe.

The Hammers host the Red Devils in what will surely be an emotional occasion as they bid farewell to the Boleyn Ground before they move to the Olympic Stadium in the summer.
