West Ham sponsor apologises for critical Antonio tweet

According to reports from The Sun, Manchester City and Manchester United transfer target Reece Oxford looks set to stay at West Ham.

The 26-year-old limped off the pitch shortly after the half-hour mark in the side’s 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

West Ham ‘s official kit sponsor have been forced to apologise after their official Twitter account criticised Michail Antonio’s performance against Chelsea.

Eden Hazard converted from 12-yards and, though James Collins restored parity with less than 15 minutes to go, Diego Costa netted the home side’s victor in the 89th minute.

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic after the game revealed that the former Swansea player told him the injury isn’t a major one and will be back soon to help the Hammers.

Antonio was described as “an accident waiting to happen in defence”, with Slaven Bilic’s decision to deploy him in the back four labelled as an “experiment”.

Sky sources understand West Ham and Betway held a conference call on Tuesday to discuss the tweet.

Diego Costa challenged Adrian in the second half and gave away a free-kick
