West Ham still thinking like a smaller club – Bilic
Daniel Sturridge could return to the Liverpool squad for the side’s trip to West Ham United on Saturday.

The Nigerian forward has been out of action after suffering a hamstring injury against Manchester United at Old Trafford on 5 December.
Fellow striker Divock Origi (hamstring) and midfielder James Milner (calf) are out while Klopp is waiting for news concerning midfielders Jordan Henderson (foot) and Joe Allen (illness).
Ozil has been instrumental in Arsenal’s ascent to the top of the table but Bilic believes the pair can not be seperated as Payet prepares to make an early return from injury against Liverpool tomorrow.
But Bilic added: ” I want to praise the other players who have been picking up points without them.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic does not expect to be especially active in the January transfer window as he prepares to welcome a host of key men back into his squad. They are thinking about the top six at least.
We have to maintain the same intensity and if we do that we will do well.
West Ham could welcome back three of their injured stars – including Dimitri Payet – when they host Liverpool on Saturday. We don’t have a specific target; we want to win every game. “Liverpool are contenders to win the league, like the other teams above them”. Now, we will never say we have a chance to win the league.

The Hammers, meanwhile, have proven tough to beat and have only suffered two Premier League losses since late August while scalping Manchester City and Chelsea during that run. West Ham have been muddling through in his absence, with results dipping accordingly, but if he is anything like at his best, West Ham should be more unpredictable in attack and be able to pull Liverpool’s occasionally suspect defence into all sorts of disgusting positions. Whether the West Ham playmaker will start is dependent on how he performs in training but his rapid recovery from the knee injury he sustained in November means he will nearly certainly make the squad.
