West Ham’s move to the renamed London Stadium has also encountered problems off the pitch.

The Hammers have the worst defensive record in the league after conceding 14 goals in their last four matches and Bilic is starting to lose patience with a team that looked desperately short of confidence against the Saints.

Metro Sport take a look at who impressed and who flopped in east London. I was at the game yesterday and I don’t think we’ve got long enough to discuss what’s wrong at the club.

In-form Saints striker Charlie Austin scored his fifth goal in four appearances as Southampton made it four wins in a row in all competitions and are up to eighth. “He can score attractive, very nice goals”.

Slaven Bilic has told his under-performing West Ham players they have run out of “credit” after their home defeat to Southampton.

Six defeats in their last seven games and West Ham are in real trouble.

From throwing bottles at team busses to fighting amongst themselves on the terraces, West Ham fans are a pretty angry bunch.

Simone Zaza worked hard for West Ham United but had very little support. Do they really understand what it means to the club?

After declaring that he feels sick and broken, the disgruntled fan continues to offload his anger by declaring his displeasure with Slaven Bilic’s tactics. We had the ball three times in our box and we should have cleared it, but we didn’t do it. We can say the season has only just started, but it’s happened for four games now. While Andy Carroll’s injuries now arrive as surely as day follows night, the loss of Ayew and Aaron Cresswell – as well as Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini earlier in the season – has taken its toll.

Bilic was asked if the players are pulling in the same direction.

The visitors, buoyed by their late first-half goal, started well in the second half with Adrian again called into action, saving from a looping Jose Fonte header before Tadic tried his luck – but the Serb could only find the feet of the Hammers stopper.
