West Ham United weighing up move for 22-year-old defender

“I’m fit, because I’ve been involved at the U19s Euros, but I just want to push on, hopefully play a couple of Europa League games and push on for the season”, Oxford told West Ham’s website.

NK Domzale enter the fray this week looking to get one over their Europa League opponents, with the winners set to set to take an advantage into next week’s second leg. Domzale finished third last season in the Slovenian SNL league, with such a finish warranting them a shot at making it through to the Europa League group stages this season.

“It’s not ideal but I’m really pleased with the way we’ve trained”.

“We are in close contact with Manuel and the AFA (Argentine Football Association), who have started a late-release replacement procedure with the International Olympic Committee”, added Vandenbroucke.

“Young defender Reece Oxford has also linked up with the squad after helping England to the semi-finals of UEFA Under-19 Championship in Germany”.

“This is an elite level match for us but we have to find some way of giving our players hope through the analysis, we will look at where we can see good things for us and how we can survive against a team like West Ham”.

“We were probably the favourites out there but sometimes the ball just doesn’t go in the net for you and the opposition is stronger on the day”.

Now with an unknown future and a long road back to fitness, it seems that building on last season’s performances will have to wait another year.

“It was a good experience, playing up a year against players who are the best in their countries”.

He added: “I’m happy to be back here for pre-season now. We wanted to buy quality players and I’m sure that we’ve got them”.
