Dossie Ellis Sr.’ daughter, Stefanie, and 12-year-old granddaughter, Maleah, were shot and killed right on his driveway in June.

All of the incidents occurred in residential neighborhoods, many of them in the Maryvale area.

Authorities have released a sketch of the suspect, described by witnesses as a light-skinned Latino or white man in his 20s.

Williams previously worked for the Phoenix Police Department from 1989 to 2011 where she rose to the rank of assistant chief before taking the Oxnard job. This week, the police labeled the shooter a serial killer, killing these people for no apparent reason.

“Hypothetically, should the shooter be stopped by police, he would have some logical reason to be in that area”, Van Zandt said.

The 2016 shootings follow an unsolved 2015 series of Phoenix-area freeway shootings which resulted in a 13-year-old girl being cut by glass. The body of Krystal Annette White, 55, was found at her home address around 4:30 a.m. on April 19.

In total, seven people have been killed in eight shooting incidents.

Police initially linked four shootings to the same culprit, but confirmed this week that four other incidents showed the same pattern. He said these incidents were already under investigation.

Pitt says serial killers typically work alone, but there could be two people doing this or more.

The fourth newly listed shooting involved an unoccupied vehicle on the west side.

There’s a $30,000 reward on the table for anyone with information leading to an arrest.
