Western Pennsylvania police officer, son killed in crash
Investigators said Jeremiah L. Christner, 41, lost control while negotiating a right curve on Greenville Sheakleyville Road and struck an oncoming truck in the eastbound lane.

Greenville Police confirmed that Christner was employed with the township as an officer.
The driver of the truck has been identified as 29-year-old Tomekin McDougall of Sharon.
A two-car crash in Greenville, Pa. killed two people, including a Greenville Police officer, according to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police.
Greenville-West Salem Police Department officials say Christner, a 10-year veteran of the department, was accompanied by his son – whose name and age weren’t released. The truck driver and his passenger were transported to an area hospital.

State police say the severity of their injuries is not known. “We are saddened by the sudden and tragic loss”. He had recently been made a field training officer.
