Wet End to 2015, Colder Weather to Start 2016

Unlike December, we’ll see temperatures closer to average for the beginning of the month, but expect another warm up as we head into the mid and later part of the week. Sunny, dry, and much cooler conditions will settle in for the weekend and last through at least Thursday. Highs for the first day of the New Year will only top out in the upper 40s. Temperatures are ranging from the mid-40s in West Alabama at Demopolis, to mid-50s in Montgomery, to upper 60s in the Wiregrass Region of Southeast Alabama. This will act to keep clouds thick on Saturday with a continued chance for those sporadic showers. Our cooldown will continue with temperatures in the upper 30s. Highs will reach the lower 50s, and lows will be in the lower 30s.

Trump on Clinton, Bush: ‘We view this as war’
Later in his speech, Trump remarked that “the last thing [Clinton] wants in her whole life” is to face him in a general election. Clinton’s public comments came as President Obama was in a re-election campaign making claims al-Qaida was “on the run”.

Even though we are about to ring in 2016, don’t expect this chilly, cloudy weather to change much for the New Year. This means our chance for a few showers or storms will be pushed back to late Wednesday into Thursday.
